Bug List
Games are never without their flaws. Knights and Merchants - The Shattered Kingdom was no exception to this quite common rule, and unfortunately there were a few unpleasant amount of bugs in the game. Most known bugs should be listed here together with additional information like how serious the bug is and if it ever got fixed in a patch.
Note that this list is hugely out of date and it is likely that this list will not be maintained in the future. Trying to document every apparent bug just isn't much fun.
General
Brightness Status |
When changing brightness level to extremely bright, the last T will not fit and move onto the next line causing the menu to look a bit bugged. | N/A |
Dirty Roads |
When building a road over an object like wheat or a flower, the object will stay on the road. If building over a wheat field, the corn will continue growing. | N/A |
Fast Scrolling |
If you have a somewhat faster computer, the screen scrolling speed might be very fast making it hard to get to the place you want to. | N/A |
Foreign Intro Movie |
Certain English releases of the game have the intro movie spoken in German. | N/A |
Forever Falling Trees |
If a woodcutter is killed just when he was about to fell a tree, the tree will just keep on falling forever. | N/A |
Militia Parchment |
The militia parchment graphic shows only one sword, but the true attack power of the unit is two swords. | N/A |
Pausing Crash |

Rough Music Change |

Secret Battle Tutorial |

Superman Labourers |
When a Laborer is building a road or a winefield, he will not die if he runs out of condition whilst waiting for his resource. Only after completing his work, he dies. | N/A |
Windows XP Crashes |
Playing under Windows XP generally makes the game very prone to crashing. This does not occur on all Windows XP computers. On some computers the game refuses to start. | N/A |
Computer AI
255 Limit |
All the computer player's weapons workshops and alike will only produce 255 of each ware and after this remain idle. Normally does not matter, but in longer games it does. | N/A |
AI Recruits |
The computer player usually creates a lot of recruits that are just being stored in the barracks. | N/A |
Building Site Limit |
Since the 1.32 patch, having more than three construction sites, will result in no wares being delivered to any construction sites of yours. | N/A |
Recruit Limit |
No more than three recruits can be walking to the barracks at a time. | N/A |
Serf Timber Delivery |
Since the 1.32 patch, it might occur that your serfs suddenly completely stop taking timber to the buildings that need it. | N/A |
Slippery Hands |

Treacherous Recruits |
