The reason that Lewin, TDL and me have Admin rights on the TS channel, is that we want to 'contain' these rights. I would not be wise to split the community into two regarding moderation. On this forum (as in every other forum) we discuss things behind the scenes within the team. This way, we can keep doing that without any alterations. You should see the TS KaM Rooms as part of KaM.net (even though they're officially not (yet?)). Then there's the 'problem' that a team really needs to be a team. It often doesn't work putting a lot of different people in a team. It can lead to frustrations, etc. If you don't mind me saying, I think that Lewin, TDL and me form a very good team that's taking care of Litude's website for almost a year. We'd like to keep our team in that state, so that's why we would carefully consider a person willing to become TS Admin. For example: I didn't make TDL Global Mod when the idea popped into my head. I discussed it with Lewin first, of course. I'm definitely not saying we won't consider another person to have Admin rights, but we'll think it through first. Seems fair to me.
I'm a bit surprised by this to be honest. It gives me the impression, that you try to squeeze a bit too much under the hat of kam.net.
I've seen it a bit different, let me shortly explain: the heart of the whole remake success is the remake itself, obviously. This is done by the two masters Krom and Lewin and the many contributors. But I also think that the side-projects that are also very important. For example the hosting of the website (I think I remember that someone else than Krom or Lewin hosts the website). And, of course, this forum which is yours. But don't forget also the other fansite websites. Or the youtube channel. Or the chat.
All of them are different projects run by different people. And I thought, the TeamSpeak Server would be that as well. Another project run by an independent member of the kam community.
You must understand, I see one of the pleasant things of the remake in the loosely way the community is put together. Everyone can set up his project, everyone can organize tournaments or do whatever he wants. This makes people contribute, either with maps or with sprites. Everything is welcome. No one judges before, you don't have to ask anyone before you start.
So now if Tiesto came to you voluntarily and asked to be part of kam.net then please forgive me that I am completely wrong then. But if he did not, why do the kam.net-moderators become admin in the TS? Let me take the chat, because I have admin rights there: I set the policy that you get admin rights if you contributed to the kam remake in a significant way. So you'll find the admins of some of the best kam servers idling there. The chat is also included in the kam website. But still, it is independent.
And I thought the forum would be organized in a similar way. So I wonder why you speak of a 'behind the scene'-team.
Please don't get me wrong. You do a fantastic way in organizing and maintaining this forum and also the kam.net website. Let's also not forget that you have to spend money, too, not even speaking of the time you put into that. That is appreciated!
I just wonder why you kind of extend the kam.net team onto the TS?
