DD Generic Failure with 1.6 patch KaM - TPR

Hi guys,

I've been trying to install one of my favorite old games, KaM - TPR. I have the Dutch version.
After tying to install and opening, i get the "DD Generic Failure" 2 times, before my laptop decides it can't run and quits the game.
Reading up on the issue, I installed the Dutch 1.6 patch, hoping it will solve the issue, but it doesn't. I still get the "DD Generic Failure" even before the game opens!!

I have disabled the compatibility, have resolution=1 and language=1. Can anybody help with steps to take to be able to play the game?!

Try updating the graphics drivers for your laptop.

Alternatively, try KaM Remake:

It runs much better on modern computers and more features than TPR.

However note, not all TPR features have made their way into Remake - there's no siege machines and TownHall to hire mercenaries. However there are much better multiplayer an mapeditor and a lot of other features
