Mouse lag in Mac App Store version

Downloaded the app store version of KAM, and running a macbook pro mid 2010 system, i am surprised that the mouse movement really lags when you drag it around. The game is unplayable with this. Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone know what can cause this?

I can read, genius, but I don't have a Mac (like lots of us) so the more info the better.

Sadly, like I said, I have no Mac, but I also can't recall anyone else having this issue. The store page does link to the developer's support page here: http://www.rune-soft.com/Service/Contact-215
