Finally :p

!ADD_GOAL 2 0 511 1200 // this shows the messages (ex. The barbarians will prepare an attack, be aware!). Syntax: "Item" "0" "Messagenumber" "Time"
Nice one^^
Now u can add usless commands to your missions.
Funny, but unfortunately we cant write own messages in game.

Cool, nice file!
Only one thing:
!SET_TACTIC // This is an old declaration and u probably won't need this...
U mustns need it, but u can!
If u wrote this (in a tactic mission, for sure) u cant click on the build-icon etc.
Only the Option Button is enabled^^

Not so text.lib is the file which all messages are stored, if edited you can type your own message, message number refers to which string of the Lib file is to be displayed.

I think it should be quite possible to add messages into the end of the text.lib file. Haven't tried it myself, but unless I'm mistaken, this is how The Knight & The Barbarian managed to add more messages into the tutorial. This would mean that you wouldn't have to replace any old messages, but you'd still have to replace the files...

thats correct although if just changing exsisting missions instead of making new maps it would be simpler just to change the message to suit, also you can make a message repeat in the same level more than once.

also whilst on the subject Setup.lib contains the mission briefing text on the world map, this too can be changed but not added to, you can completley redo all 20 levels to a different story, if you can record .AU sound files you can replace each mission briefing to corresponding text. Does anybody know How to change the world map btw?

I know Map.bbm is likley to be TSK world map and Mapgold.bbm is TPR but how does the map change????

The .au format is a sound format for Java applications...
Where do you find these recordings, I can't discover any .au files..?!

I cant say 100% the dat files have to be decoded in the gfx folder before it can be changed, it appears that the bbm files are diffused terrain files as near as i can tell however the progressive changing of the world map was likley done in ultimate paint progressivly changing pixels but as for changing the world map or even viewing it is beyond waht i can do sorry!!!
