Shattered Kingdom multiplayer arrangements!

If you do not know exactly the consequences of following actions, DONT do it. It might mess up your computer, network and cause a lot of damage.

MOST IMPORTANT
Is to relax. Just relax. If you are trying to play old games in multiplayer, its not gonna work for a long time, before it starts to work. Usually, multiplayer games are considerably more boring than they seem to be, before you play them. If you get too stressed about getting it work, it feels bad even if you can finally play with someone. So try to relax. But it doenst mean you have to give up if you havent got it to work after 2 days of hacking. I got it work with a friend after 3 days of hacking.
CONNECTION PROBLEM REASONS
a) You have not let the game through the firewall. Do it. Sometimes only turning the firewall off complitely works.
b) You have a router. If you have router AND cant play, you can either "fix it" by forwarding ports. (see http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm)
Or if theres only 1 computer behind the router, the best bet is to just remove the router and connect your computer to internet directly. That fixes 100% of router problems BUT it might cause serious harm to your computer, it might mess up the entire internet connection etc, etc, so PLEASE dont touch the router if are not 100% sure that you can fix it later on.

WHERE YOU FIND OTHER PLAYERS
1) GAMERANGER
Gameranger is just a gift from the universe. If you like playing old games in multiplayer, you are going to love it.
download gameranger at http://www.gameranger.com/download/GameRangerSetup.exe
Make sure you have KaM 1.32 installed before that. Filter the games so that you will see only the games you want + always KaM games too.
Like if you want to find games for Age of Empires, make a filter, that shows you age of empires games and KaM games. because KaM games are quite rare, you always want to see them.
Once you are in a game room with gameranger, start the game, then press multiplayer and then DONT touch anything, it will do the joining for you, after you press multiplayer.
If you cant join, you or the host has problems with connection.
2) HAMACHI

There are many hamachi networks meant for Knights and Merchants. Most times, you wont find people there, because the old networks are abonded often. What you wanna do, is connect to all KaM networks you can find, and then chat with people in them to arrange a game. Sometimes you find just 1 guy in that huge abonded network, who will guide you to the current working network.
To play with hamachi, you join network, then go ingame=>multiplayer=>TCP/IP and put in the field the hamachi IP or leave it blank.
Some of the networks are: (notice that there cant be a space after the name!)

3) THIS TOPIC
You can try to arrange a game in this topic. Mention times when you are willing to play and how people can connect you. If you say times, make sure to include the timezone too, since 14:00 in USA is in the middle of the night in Australia.
