OH man well i have a new problem which involves the color of the game itself, when I start up my game and load, start a new campaign or do a tutorial the colors of everything is wrong, for example, the areas that are unexplored are an olive green along with most other black shade... Also i can see small cyan colored lines in some spots where i place my roads... please help!!??
I can provide screen shots, if i new how to take screen shots, so if you could someone inform me how to do that..
thanks in advance.

Playing the game at 800x600 is known to help against the discoloration problems.

If you have Windows Vista / 7, you should try the Vista/7 fix. It also fixes the TSK super fast scrolling on Xp. I'd recommend to use it if you have Xp or newer Windows anyway.

Right, I totally forgot about that one.
It does have some disadvantages which is why I don't plan on installing it by default for XP in SR3, those being that the resolution changing messes up and you can't take screenshots using printscreen.

Wait a second... Am I just remebering wrong or something? Because I have a vision that I didn't succeed to take any clear screenshots, even when I tried that registry fix (over a year ago, without the Vista/7 fix).

Have to admit that I haven't installed either KaM after last formatting, studying and other things take too much time. I really need to test those screenshot tings tomorrow anyway. Image

And the in-game screenshot function was only part of TSK...?

The mission editor not scrolling and not showing the map (just a grey background with units/houses over it) is because it can't find the map file to load.
There are three things that could be causing this:
- Your KaM directory could be set wrong. Go to Options -> Set KaM Dir and make sure it is the folder which contains the KaM EXE. (KM_TPR.EXE)
- The "Map File" property of the mission is set wrong. In the Treeview, go to Generic -> Map File and make sure the file the correct path to the map file. (e.g. data\mission\smaps\Battle.map)
- The actual map file might be in the wrong place. It will look for the map in "KaM Directory"\"Map File". Check that the path is the same.

If you want to load up a map in the mission editor WITHOUT saving the map file path to the mission file, click on the browse button above the GUI screen. Select the map file and it will load. However, if you save the mission KaM will not find the map unless the Map File is set.

As for Krom's Map editor, make sure that you have installed it into your KaM folder. That is KM_Editor.exe should be in the same folder as KM_TPR.exe. This is required so it can load the game data.

Not sure about the small error box thing, but please make sure you have the latest version as this happened in older versions. (latest is 0.9)

Let me know if you need more help.
Lewin.

ooohh due you are my savior, thanks sooo much but now my map editor wont even start and i have the newest one, i think im just going to re download.

also i have some TKE suggestions,

Marketplace,
barbarians and warriors are separate in the town hall,
pick your color at beginning of campaign or mission,
selection of what food is delivered to troops for example(give troops wine only)
new troop altogether!!?? If possible
special defensive or offensive formations for troops.
ability to build walls,

and i don't really no if any of this is possible or if it will be this way in TKE but im just spit-balling,
In the TKE beta i really like the idea that you can put music in the music folder,

and its cool how you're planning on having an evacuation from building.

I can help if you need an extra hand with organizing or something but thanks again for the help.
