I've found these special keys:
- hold F8 to speed the game up;
- press space to cycle through players;
- cursor keys will scroll the view;
- Esc will exit the game immidiately

Not very much has happened in the past 4 months or so, I added font loading (of the original fonts) but I don't draw them yet
I didn't have much time because of a programming project for the university, I should have more time soon. JBSnorro says he will work on TKE again soon as well.
The next demo, well, that's a bit painful actually - I wanted to show that most of the economy works and that units don't walk through each other but there were too many unresolved bugs to make a demo..
