I don't understand why that would be more sort-friendly than DD-MM-YYYY..

Because Windows sorts files based on their names starting from the left, I guess.

What I can't figure out though is what would this have to do with KaMRepos, unless the date is added to the downloaded file name too...

Update

Some of you may have noticed that KaMRepos has disappeared from the forum menu and that links are dead.

A while ago we ran into some issues during a software upgrade on our server. This caused a communication problem to the database for all our web services.
As you can see we were able to fix all problems, except for KaMRepos. I have yet to figure out why the fix that I've applied to all our web services doesn't work on KaMRepos.

Until I've figured out where the problem is and how to solve it, I've decided to take KaMRepos offline during that time. Please be informed that no data was deleted, so hopefully we can get it working again

Will keep you guys updated in this topic.

Good news

The problem has been found and solved. KaMRepos is available again and the link is back in the menu.
