KaM Remakes map editor is largely unfinished in r4179 public release. I suggest you work with older editors for now and switch on to KaM Remakes MapEd in next public demo (or beta-test)

Yes i would recommend Krom's editor for making the maps, if you found out what every tool does it is very easy to work it.

And for scripting i do not have much experience, but Lewin's editor will probably work well for you.

And after you are done you can finish the map in the remake(like adding fish, storehosues, wolfs and other stuff)

And if you use Lewin's editor for multiplayer games, be sure to use version .3 of his editor. Any version newer than that will have problems loading Remake multiplayer maps correctly.
