Service Release 3 - It's (might be) coming!

Recently there has been a lot of doubt as to whether this patch is actually coming. This does by no means indicate that the patch must be fake, just warning you that it could be a possibility!

So take everything below with a grain of salt!
Following the two very succesful unofficial patches (Patch Pack and Service Release 2), a third one is coming which is at least as of now being called Service Release 3. This time more major changes are coming! Previous patches focused mainly on single player but this patch also brings changes to multiplayer.

Promised changelog as of now:
- Multiplayer will no longer go out of synch (  )
- Game can play MP3 music and there's no longer a track limit
- 6 extra single missions (3 of them battle missions)
- 6 extra multiplayer maps (3 of them battle maps)
- Computer players can now be used in multiplayer
- Iron mine icon will be recolored from red to blue
- Condition text in buildings now 20% larger

Things being looked at:
- Fish to be fed to soldiers
- Saving and loading saved multiplayer games

I don't know in what stages the patch is currently, but I guess there are still some additional changes coming up in the patch. But incase you didn't wake up yet, MULTIPLAYER WILL NO LONGER GO OUT OF SYNCH!!!?!!! Now the only thing that needs fixing is the slow unit reaction time sometimes and the game will be almost perfect (with some smaller bugs still existing).

I'm sure that even if the project would get canned something would be released. They have managed to fix the multiplayer bugs already! :):D

The previous two unofficial patches (Patch Pack and Service Release 2) were made by The Barbarian and The Knight (of www.knightsandmerchants.de). But this upcoming patch is made by a different group of people. I don't know exactly who they are, but there are five of them and one of them calls himself pawel95.

You mean these single maps? Unfortunately I don't think the bug where the AI stops building or skips certain buildings has been fixed. The patch is not finalized yet though so we can always hope that additional bugfixes make their way to that list! :)

There's no release date for the patch but I hope it won't be too long! :) It most likely depends on whether additional changes will be added to the patch. I'm trying to convince the creator of this patch that the slow reaction time bug is a major problem :D Don't know if I managed to convince him yet, but I sure hope so!

And if you convinced him, it is not sure he can fix it.

This may be an old topic, but has there been any info released on the current stage this is in? My friends and I are VERY anxious to play KaM hassle free :)

Well the guy who was responsible for the patch has been acting kind of weird lately. He goes around telling that he was working on graphics in The Settlers III, and when patch progress is asked, he said that he is busy because of school. Yeah
The only screenshot that was posted was around 300x200 pixels or something. I'd not be suprised if it was faked.
I'm sorry to have filled you with false hope, but it seems like there are some quite big ***holes in this world, as once again has been proven :(

Well, Litude is right, but the last time I hoped, that his "TEAM" is creating the patch. But im Wondering why they aren't Users at KaM.de ... Sad, but true :(
