annoying indeed, perhaps we can create a whitelist or a place where serious players can meet and set up games without shitty players interfering. i'm pretty new to MP and have played like 7 games now. 5 of them where my teammates quit or did not have any troops because they only build farms and vinyards. it's not cool if you've spent an hour building your town and as much weapons/troops as you can, just to lose because you have to face 3 enemies alone. especially when those enemies are friends that stick together and play a lot (i've seen them play multiple evenings toghether).

so if anyone wants to play, let me know. i would really like to play a game with more 'professional' players who stay until the end and do not f*ck around.

Yeah he used anus and also your nick Luki, but it was obvious that it was the same guy :/ Never had an issue like that, that lasted for about 30 mins of wasted time. Well not much you can do about it, i dont really expect the developers to make accounts/logins, that would require a lot of money, time and maintenance and well mostly money to keep up and running Its a shame its so easy to change nick, if that got changed or required more "computer knowledge" to change, maybe the random annoying players would be easier to spot and kick from the lobby

I had an idea for making Remake login system that would dump the responsibility on someone else than Remake devs. Use something like OpenID, so you can login with your Google/Twitter/Facebook etc. accounts. The account itself would be just used to secure a nickname (the registered nickname would be bound to a specific OpenID account) in the game, you wouldn't be required to login but your nickname wouldn't be secured then. Now, two options:

a)every registered user would have some graphical mark (like a star or something) meaning that he is a registered user, while you could have the same nickname but everyone would see you're not registered. So if someone set his nick as "Luki" everyone would know that the guy isn't Luki because he has no "star"

or

b)if a nick is registered, simply no one else can use it. This option doesn't let everyone use the nick of their liking, but better prevents pretending that you are someone else.

Now, the question to Lewin and Krom is: how hard to implement would that be? Of course, I'm just trying to give a good solution to the problem, the devs will decide how important of an issue impostors are.

Good idea, but not sure i would vote for the developers to spend their time right now to do that, i think they are much much more important things to focus on right now Also that would require that people have such accounts already which im not sure i would like even if i have them myself, but im sure the problem can be solved somehow, but i think that a even more simple solution would help a lot :

like giving you the chance to set your username upon installation ( and the name would be saved in a none .txt file inside the remake folder). This would be enough of a hassle for most of the "scrub/rage and annoying" players who just play to destroy games. And i think that most players are not aware that they can change it themselfs if they find the file that contains the name, sure you can always reinstall the game in order to change it. Its just an idea, not a smart one or a smooth solution, but i think that it would not 100% solve it, but at least make people change nick alot less which means people will recon the names of unwanted players

I don't like the idea of removing the "change nick in game" feature, it won't solve the problem we're having there. Annoying people will always find a way unless being an impostor is blocked.

Also, I know that not everyone has an account at Google etc. but the same could be said if there were KaM Remake game accounts. If you don't have Google/Twitter/Facebook account, don't want to make one, or don't want to use that particular account - you still have other options. You can create an OpenID account somewhere else. The list is available at http://openid.net/get-an-openid/ - you could make an account somewhere there just for the sake of securing your nickname in Remake, if you really really don't want to use one of your personal accounts. Or just play with a non-secure nickname, risking that someone secures it and tries to play as you, which would be a good option for those that just want to check out the game.

well i doubt that anything is ever going to be implemented, and to be frank i dont really care much if it doesnt, sure its annoying sometimes, but the community is not that big so you learn pretty quickly which ones you know and want to play with etc Trolls will always join in, even with accounts etc.

I found that out today. I must admit I am noob. BUT leaving a spot for a professional player and then whining you have to wait like 20 minutes sitting in a lobby is really dumb!!! AND now starting without the player you were waiting for Waiting for me to download a map can't be done, i won't mention names, but a better player is given time to download. And then comes the excuse: we were in a hurry....... :/

This kind of stuff needs to stop right NOW!! Definitly this happens one more time, and i am out!!!!!

I must admit I've seen so called "professional" KaM players be rude and non-inclusive to less experienced players too. If you've organised a game and are waiting for another player that's fair enough, but you can just politely say "sorry we're waiting for a friend", there's no need to treat people like idiots because they are not as good at KaM as you are. Most situations can be resolved politely without offending anyone.

The majority of players are really nice but there are one or two who can be very unpleasant if they take a disliking to you for whatever reason. I'd say some people think they're important and take themselves too seriously.

Don't be put off by it, they're no more important than you are despite what they might think of themselves

I was still watching the stats so I was too late to join. Then, someone left and I took his place. I didn't know you just left to download the new version of the map. I admit it's rude but you shouldn't be surprised when Matt is the host. His sense of humour is a bit macabre.
Personally I would never kick someone because he's not good at KaM or not as good as others; I only kick people if I'm waiting for others OR if I'm afraid that they will leave or ruin the game in some other way.
Saying that 'you're out' if it happens one more time is a bit over the top, but I understand your frustration. I'm sure we'll have a nice game soon.

Waiting for someone else is not the answer to keep new players who like to play this game inside the community. This happens way to much! I have warned you guys , but noone (just two but not the jerks) reacts to it!! I am totally done with a community like this. It is just good players playing with each other and the bad players are only able to be kicked, because we are waiting for someone else. THEN you guys start to whine that you have to wait to long before a game can start, but it is in your own hands!!!! You can have me in a lobby or wait for someone else. If you select waiting then stop whining right NOW! You guys have selected waiting again and again. I can only join the game when you guys want it and that is really rediculous! This problem is partially caused by playing on the RC. Yes it does happen too on the official releases but there are way more people and i think less of those groups. I disagree with just kicking really.

Just avoid the people that kick you, they are not worth playing (and even talking) with. I just got kicked on the RC too, although I already knew that the person who did that was a person I should avoid, he wasn't the host on the first game so I didn't know it would end like that, but anyway you just have to wait for nice people, which are quite rare indeed, but with who you can have a lot of fun. That's sad that some players on the community are like that, but you can't change that, and they'll never admit that they are wrong, they're too proud for that
Don't leave just because some people are not interesting, you can always find nice people !

Got kicked today as well for reasons unclear to me (at first I thought it was because the only 8p fight map is boring, but if in a few second 2 more players joined and Enter the Heat was chosen, I wasn't so sure ), but I'm too awesome to bother with someone kicking me without a reason. Some day, I will be the host... :>
