Well I'd love to add support for the ZUXXEZ Online store version of the game, but unless someone can tell me what registry entries it creates during installation, it's not going to be possible.

I asked this at So Apr 25, 2010 11:47 am.
It's on the 5. Page!

Well what did you expect? That they'd finish this in a couple of months? And why are you complaining anyway? We've been waiting for years now, and one more year wouldn't bother me at all. Just keep up the progress, no matter how slow it is. We owe them a lot.
(Edit: talking about both the patch and the remakes here)

The betas are readily available so I'm not in a hurry to make it go gold. Anyways, I'm still waiting for feedback for the new Russian fonts to know whether they should be used at all.

Just had some time for testing (4-8 TSK):
5 TSK: Two defense positions on the west (blue enemy) - not enough space
8 TSK: Northern enemy previously had too many serfs - now it's not enough, as everything takes him much more time

Sorry for double posting, but I didn't want the post to stay unnoticed.
The new attack in 9 TSK is too powerful for me. It stars at 11th minute (it's hard to build a watchtower on time), enemy takes 3 troops of swordmen and 2 of knights, and they attack from two sites. Don't you think that it's too much?

Yeah, 9 TSK was really hard to beat (start attack). As far as the original version goes, there was no start attack, just one after about 2/3 hours, usually from the east town that builds up over time (however this often never materialised (or worked)).
Oh, by the way, if anyone has a problem with installing the patch because of registry problems, or it won't detect your installation, mail me, I had a problem but found a work around. But not sure some on the forum would normally like the way I did it so PM

Sorry for a second post, but I've been playing with the B7 for a while now, and most of the gameplay has been perfect, although I have noticed a few bugs, one of which does happen frequently on TPR (playing through TSK now). Certain enemies on each mission create their armies, and attack as normal.
However on, some occasions, 1 or 2 enemies do not create any units until you attack. And when you do attack, you have to kill a few soldiers of either 1 or more of the groups, and only then will they start to build units to their full capacity.
Running English B7, updated from English version on SR2.
I'll continue scouring the game for anything else
P.s. Does B7 change the quality of the music at all? Do you have to use the music patch yourself or is it included in B7?

I have downloaded and tried to install this patch. But i counldn't succeed. I get the following warning:
The installation wizard detected that you either don't have Knights and Merchants: The Peasant Rebellion installed; or it is in a language that is not English. The installation will be aborted.
can i be hopeful for the solution?
thanks.

Well, if it's the correct language version or you want to install it on top of existing one anyway, try adding the following thing to the registry (open notepad and paste this):
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JOYMANIA Entertainment\KnightsandMerchants TPR]
"DIR"="C:\\PROGRA~2\\KMTPR~1"
"Language"="English"
"Version"="1.58 SR2"
Save it as something.reg and run.
Remove \Wow6432Node on 32-bit systems, and set the DIR parameter according to the location of KaM files (it doesn't have to be DOS-like).
thanks

dear kuba,
i am grateful that your help did work..
but on right top of the main game menu it still writes 1.58 sr2.
i can listen the old tracks again, but how can i be sure that sr3 is truly installed?

Thought that it reads the version number from EXE, check of the registry entry containing it was updated.
Anyway, check also if all songs are accessible (not only 15 of them), is a "Track" word displayed in the Options menu, or test a mission where AI has a quarry (they should take stone to storehouse). Or some other fixed bug, if it's gone - it should be fine.

If the game main menu states 1.58 SR2 the game wasn't correctly updated. I have no idea why it didn't work though. From where did you get your game?
