I just checked the original German version and it uses lance and pike, so I'm not ready to support this idea. Besides changing these would cause a lot of confusion as you would no longer be sure which unit someone is talking about when they mention the pikeman.
As for Rogue -> Slinger, slinger describes his weapon better but rogue gives him a different personality (not your average soldier), not really needed.
Sword fighter -> Swordsman, can't kill these weird translations.

Hmm... There is still one thing bugging me about the Rogue, that is in the German version the unit was called Rogue (Dieb) during development (can be seen from early screenshots), but it was changed to Squire (Knappe) in the final game giving it a quite inconsistent name. Now the problem with just changing the name to Squire is... he does not seem like a Squire at all to me.

I vote to leave it as is. Rouge kind of suits him. A few inconsistencies in translations is not a big problem IMO.

Can I maybe suggest something about the bakers description? It's the only place that "loaves" is called "bread"... I personally would think bread would fit much better than loaves to begin with but consistency would state both should be the same...
Edit: Ah see this is what I get for not looking through EVERY page... This has been discussed before but I still think that bread is much more fitting than loaves...
