The Service Release Patches for TPR http://knightsandmerchants.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=8. Before the Remake, Litude spent a lot of time working on SR1 and SR2 for TPR. SR3 was never finished. I think that the Remake uses the code from SR2.

Adding fish and fisherman house to TSK might be arguable, but it is still rather a minor change IMO that preserves the TSK spirit.

Why would you even still bother releasing those Service Releases? You'd only be helping Topware for the work they lack to do, and we have the Remake, which works better in virtually every possible way. I don't see who'd still be playing TSK.

KaM Remake uses SR-"patched" campaigns. Of course there are some new features tweaked, but for 98% the DAT files are the same.

Yes, Service Release 3 has been incredibly helpful for the Remake for so many reasons:
- Litude standardised the fonts and added new characters which allowed us to add a lot of languages which wouldn't have been possible before such as Brazilian Portuguese, Bulgarian, Belarusian, Estonian, Norwegian, Romanian, Swedish, Ukrainian, etc.
- There were a lot of bugs/issues/imbalance in the campaigns that are now fixed and used in the Remake (almost every campaign mission had major fixes made to it in SR3).
- There were issues with the voice files being low quality and not standardised between languages. Litude saved us a lot of work because we could just take the voice files for SR3 from each language.
- The translations have been massively improved by SR3 which we used in the Remake
- The English TPR campaign briefings were rewritten in an old English style and re-narrated, both of which we use in the Remake
- Probably more but I can't think of them right now.

We owe a great many thanks to Litude and everybody else involved with SR3 because it saved us a lot of work when making the Remake.
Cheers,
Lewin.

Who did that re-narration? The original game uses professional narrators, doesn't it?

I did :P
TSK certainly used a professional narrator (I really like the way he reads it), but TPR's original English narrator doesn't sound very professional at all to me, and the translation was really bad. So even if I'm not a professional narrator at least I can speak English fluently :P

What? You do realize that Australians speak English, right? Or are you just trolling?

Haha, I was just joking, of course. I may be really stupid, but I'm not really dumb.
