HI, i had to re install kam remake since my laptop crashed last week, and now when i apply full screen the screen flashes dark and bright, very annoying and unable to play with. Tried every resolution but none helped with the problem. Anyone got ideas/suggestions about how to fix this problem ?
Re: screen flashes since new install
Could be broken GPU or its drivers.

Re: screen flashes since new install
Thanks for the reply, but how is that possible with only full screen?
Normal screen looks fine...
edit: maybe update the drivers because they are ancient at this point

Fullscreen is a bit different form the windowed mode, because it runs in the exclusive mode, so some state changes might misbehave. Try updating drivers. Also it is worth checking laptop cooling.

Re: screen flashes since new install
I tried to update the drivers, and after starting up to apply the changes, the screen went black. With external screen managed to uninstall the driver and undo the change and now are back to where i was.
Actually got no idea wich update fits with my driver (ati radeon hd5470) so hope someone can help me
Cooler is ok.. never had problem with cooling, anyway opened and cleaned just to be sure

Hi,
I was wondering if you found a solution to this problem? I have the exact same flashing screen.
My laptop has been gone for repairs and the installment of a SSD. Since I re-installed KaM Remake, it won't run on full screen without flashing.
Any tips?

Re: screen flashes since new install
Hi!
I actually had kind of the same problem on 1 of my computers, but only when I had the remake started twice (like 1 for playing other for the map editor) and closed one of them.
At thay point the other one started to flash as well.
No idea if it's a simular problem, but maybe try to open the remake twice? For some reason that solved the problem for me....
This might just be a bs comment, since I know nothing about pc's what so ever but just wanted to give a suggestion

Thanks for your reply Killer and excuse me for my late reply.
Updating my graphic card drivers solved the problem.
