1. Insert your Windows CD into your CD-Drive

2. Click Start and then Run...

3. Type cmd in the box.

4. At the command prompt type the following lines and press enter after each:

	  expand (CD-ROM Drive Letter):\i386\config.nt_ c:\windows\system32\config.nt
          expand (CD-ROM Drive Letter):\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
          expand (CD-ROM Drive Letter):\i386\command.co_ c:\windows\system32\command.com

5. Now test if you can run the setup, if you can you don't need to do the following steps.

6. Start notepad and write the following:

          dos=high, umb
          device=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\himem.sys
          files=40

7. Save the file with the name Config.nt and then create a new file.

8. Write the following into the new text file:

          @echo off
          lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\mscdexnt.exe
          lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\redir
          lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\dosx
          SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3

9. Then save the file as Autoexec.nt and close Notepad

10. After that locate Autoexec.nt and Config.nt and copy them to your System32 directory (C:\Windows\System32)

11. Then expand the command.com file from your Windows XP and copy it to the System32 directory

12. Start the setup process and it should work!
