TSK on Windows xp and Windows 7.. Need help !

Hello there ! Im new on the forum, but have been playing KaM The Shattered Kingdom for quite some time.

Though now in older age I have been very happy to have found my old CD, but it dosent work with Windows 7 for these reasons.

Windows 7 + TSK Clean Install, real sluggish and slow and weird colours.

Windows 7 + TSK and the Win7/Vista patch = Instant crash no matter what I do.

Windows XP + TSK = fine but with extremely fast scrolling.

Windows XP + TSK with the Win7/Vista patch (which could remove the fast scrolling) = Instant Crash.

So if there is anyone here that could help me, please I beg of you. I really like this game and wanting to finish the TSK campaign.

Ok, bought The Peasants Rebellion now from Gog.com and then it should probably work..

KaM TSK doesn't run at all well on modern computers... if you really want to run it you'll probably need a virtual machine running Windows 98 or 95.
KaM TPR works quite well on modern computers, although you need the Windows 7/Vista patch. (the GOG.com version comes with this patch, they were the ones who made it)

You can also try the KaM Remake, as it's designed for modern computers

Yeah, TPR works like a charm. It is really nice and TSK's campaign is on TPR aswell, which made it the best deal ever ! I have though a random crash problem. It occurs rarely but still, is there anything about that ? that you know of ?

Yeah TPR still has some bugs and crashes, nothing you can do about that really. Also multiplayer is very buggy so you should use the KaM Remake for that.

Okay, I just have to save a lot then and I will really check out the KaM Remake. Do the Remake affect the campaigns or is it just for Multiplayer ?

The remake is independent of other KaM's. It was all made from scratch. That means, it wont affect them in any way; However it checks if you have TPR installed - for "license issues" - not that it really needs TPR to run, though.
