Re: Christmas Tournament!

I think we should close this and create a new, more organized tournament.

Unless GWB can organize the games better, because the way it is now, it's really hard to know what is going on, who's playing who, and when someone has to play.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I think this is not GWB fault. When people dont reply to your messages you cant do sh*t.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I won
soon I will guve screens

edit:

so, this is a result of the game (I will write it as I do this in KaMclub)

Lord Stronghold vs. Lucqu vs. Kamykos vs. Itlerion
winner 1 (Lord Stronghold)
second 2 (Lucqu)
3d - 4 (Itlerion)
4th - 3 (Kamykos)

map - across the desert
first of all - my town

Image

my first victim - Kamykos (however you can see the scout of Lucqu there)

Image

another screen of his ruins that I made later

Image

second victim (the guy, who disturbed me more than others) - Lucqu. My forces finally start the devastation of his town

Image

and again

Image

and the last one - Itlerion. I actually did not kill him, but Lucqu made it instead me. And I destroyed the main buildings of Itlerion. However, when my forces came there - there were a few crossbowmen of Lusqu.

victory!

2nd edit:

We had pt – 60 mins. When pt was over I gave the order to my forces (militia and crossbowmen) – crush Kamycos immediately. And the done it well, but they also destroyed crossbowmen and pikeman of Kamykos. When Kamykos was destroyed, Lucqu attacked me from the left side , where his town were situated. His army were stronger, but he had to retreat cause my main forces returned to my town and I trained a new guys when he attacked my towers. Also Itlerion attacked my towers by the archers, but my crossbows killed them. Also he lost some of his knights by my towers. Perhaps Lucqu was afraid of attack of Itlerion when Lucqu besieged me, so he thought that he must attack Itlerion first (however Itlerion had not enough army maybe, I was not able to see his town). But I made some swordmen, militia and more crossbows and attacked Lucqu once again (my 1st attack was failed with participate of Itlerion against me). Then – I crushed his barracks and then – destroyed his main buildings. However I did not meet the warriors of Itlerion in his own town, but just a few crossbowmen of Lucqu. So that is the end.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

Good job. I made bottom towers and recruits too late that was my biggest fault.Your attack was really fast. Congratulations and I hope we will make revenge some time.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

thank you. BTW I think that Lucqu were second, however I destroyed his main buildings faster, than Itlerion, but his town was made unable to fight by Lucqu, and I think that giving more points to him is fair than to Itlerion.

btw Itlerion was out of game earlier than Luckqu.

@T*AnTi-V!RuZz
I do my best, thank you for your support. :rolleyes:
If you want to organize a tournament, be my guest.

@Kamykos
You are absolutely right.
When I was making the list of things you should fill in when registering, I was thinking about saying that you should leave contact info behind.
Then I thought: "What am I thinking, these aren't eight-year-olds, they can think for themselves." Unfortunately I was wrong. -.-'

@Itlerion
Great attitude man, first lose and you are already crying.
Get some cavalry and run down those crossbowmen!

The other day I tested (In a real MP match) if militia are as OP as some people say.
So, I made 60militia.
They were slaughtered, by 5scouts, 2towers and 10bowmen.
It was a difficult position to attack, the entrance could only hold 8 units in a row, but there were 4occupied by the towers.

So, I guess Darwin was right after all, adaptation will result in the extermination of some and the domination of others.

@Lord_Stronghold
Thank you for clearing things up, so if I understand it now, Itlerion was 4th?

I will post a leader board as soon as I get home. (which would be the 30th)
I thought that in my Christmas holidays I could stay home a lot.
But my parents told me that we would go to my uncle.(tomorrow)
I didn't think to find any problems because I can just install KaM on his PC.
BUT... I just heard that his provider has cut him off (home moving).
So I think I will stay at my grandma's house, which has Internet and KaM (I installed it everywhere, just in case).

Re: Christmas Tournament!

so if I understand it now, Itlerion was 4th?

1st died - Kamycos
2d died - Itlerion (his main buildings were crushed after than I crashed such buildings of Lucqu, but Itlerion leaved the game before Lucqu cause Lucqu kiiled his forces and servers).
3d died - Lucqu and he leaved game after Itlerion. And when I came to Itlerion`s town - I saw soldiers of Lucqu there.

so I wanna ask: did I earn some points for this victory? :D

Re: Christmas Tournament!

Yes.
I can just tell you the amount of points scored but I can't post the leader board because I don't have the files on this PC.
Lord Stronghold: 5p for 1st place
Lucqu: 2p for 2nd place
Itlerion: 1p for 3rd place
Kamycos: 0p for 4th place

First match people!!!

If you can't handle criticism, you're not suited to organize a tournament. Think about that.

You can't deny setting up 'our' match has been a problem. My PM inbox was full of PM's about the match. With better organization, that wouldn't have been necessary at all.
Besides, it's a little naive to think that everyone has time to play on Christmas :rolleyes:

Re: Christmas Tournament!

T*AnTi-V!RuZz you right in many things, but difficult organization system of tournament - is not a reason of non-trying to play it. Our (in KaMclub) firsts championship were not perfect too, and we had many technical losses (in KaMclub tournament) or non-played games (in VK.com tournament) - but we played it and it began the history of russian KaM community. So, let this championship continue! :D

Re: Christmas Tournament!

@T*AnTi-V!RuZz
Criticizing wouldn't be saying that we should just abandon this one and start a new one.
I often ask for criticism, I ask people about negative sides of my maps for example.
You aren't criticizing, you didn't give an argument, only an accusation.

You are complaining about loads of PM's, how do you think about my inbox?
If you think you can organize a better tournament and have time for it, I still think you should.
I just had the idea to organize a tournament, I had the time to organize one, I had the enthusiasm to organize one.
I even asked my math teacher how to calculate the amount of different matches, 18564 was the outcome.(with 18players)
I was very enthusiastic, I am not going to let it be spoiled by people who aren't reachable.

I didn't think people would have lots of time during Christmas, I just thought they would be reachable.
They should know they registered for something.
They should know they should be reachable during the period of time I asked them to be.
By reachable I don't mean they should be able to play at all times, I mean they should be able to reply to the questions asked.

I know I should have checked earlier to see if those people were reachable.
I didn't expect it to be so hard to reach those people.

This the first time I organize a tournament. It is messy, deal with it.
