Hey, I made a new Co-OP map for the Remake from Krom And Lewin.

Put it in the MapsMP folder and play it online. Description is there how to set the teams.

Maybe someone can help me with the bridge!

THIS MAP IS ONLY BETA, if the map include to the remake?s next demo, this will be an other version, because the version now has to much mistakes.

Ok i have to try to make a nice bridge. But it has no sence. Is someone good in making bridges, can he/she help me maybe?!
This would be nice.

I took a look at it, and sorry to tell you this, but it's really bad

Take a look at some of the original and TDL's maps, and try to make them look more like it.. Also, don't create villages (.dat files) before your map is completely done.

I get the feeling you build maps in like 5 minutes and then hope they're included in the Remake. That's not how it works. TDL and Ben spend a lot of time creating their maps.

Take my map, for example. It's still not very good, and I've spent hours and hours on it already. I think you should really put more time and effort in it, or if you don't want to, just stop.

Here are some of the things I thought when I opened your map:

- What is that sand doing in the middle of the water? It doesn't fit with the rest of the map.
- What happened to that 'bridge'? Is that really the best you could? It even looks better when it's flat.
- The mountains are aweful. For example, the top left corner (iron mine). Really sharp edges with a horrific color (which means the elevation is wrong).
- All the mines are way too 'static'. They're made using a one-sized brush and just swooping from left-to-right or top-to-bottom.
- There aren't any transitions. It looks like you've just put random tiles somewhere and closed all the patches.
- The coal looks aweful too.


There are two things you can do:

1) Take a lot more time making a map before posting it. Think about your map and how you want it to be. Put time and effort in making your map, it's not a 5-minute job. To be honest, if I were Ben or TDL, I'd be insulted when seeing this map. They really take the time and effort for creating maps to be included with the Remake, and you expect to do the same with this..

2) Quit.

This may sound a bit harsh, but I think you haven't learned from the past, and tips and critiques aren't followed by you. I just wanted to be clear.

By the way, this is my personal opinion. Maybe TDL or Ben thinks your map is awesome

At first If you argue that I do this map in 5 minuts you have see someone false! I work on this map a few days. AND NOT ONLY 5 MINUTS!

Aha but what?s the problem with the iron mines now? how can i build it "NOT STATIC" ? I think in original KaM maps there isn?t so that the iron mine 1 is at (1/250) and the second is at (250/250), that they will not static. In KaM maps there are in one range are 5 mines?!

And what is about the sand? It is a normal tiny island!?

The bridge is nomal, as I say bad!

Which maps in the remake are from ben? You say that these are so good!

Well, maybe people who try to kill a game by building roads blueprints in an enemy city are not really liked by other people ? So maybe you should not be surprised by the reaction of some people, even if they are rude .

And maybe telling a lie saying "no, it's not me" after is even worse ? (yes I checked the savegame, it was you pawel).

About the map, you put objects over the moutains and some terrains are really strange. There's too much coal under the AI city, well in fact they built their city all over the coal field ? The snow is strange for the eyes, it's like it has no place here, maybe adding a better transition before the snow, like more dirt. And other points that T*AnTi-V!RuZz said.

1.) That means that now many people are sad as I speak about my plan of patch, as I was 11 years old
2.) You not understand: "FUN/Joke"? What is that for a cheat to build road over the map. I was only frustrade because i wait 20 min in the lobby, than the game starts and i see, i havent no village---no game for me! but i delete this roads after 20 seconds, so what was the problem.
On the other hand, how do you find that i was the "builder"? Has you shown the whole save (02:xx hours) ???

1) People just dislike you and think you're a lier, and that's true.

2) Joke ? Building roads then removing because you thought we could discover that and saying "no it's not me", and then rage-quitting is a joke ? That's a stupid one, if it is a joke. Plus : it is a cheat.


How could I discover that you build the roads ? I saved when I saw the roads blueprints, after the game I loaded the save and I choosed you in the player list. I was able to remove it, meaning it was you. Simple. I kept the save in case you say "no he's a lier".

The bridge is really awful indeed, but over all I must say I've seen worse maps than this one. I pretty much agree with T*AnTi-V!RuZz about what can be and should be improved. The main problems (for me) are the bridge and those huge sand mountains in the river.
Oh and I think the 'PL' in the bottom right of the map is quite unnecessairy too.

I said it was AS IF it was made in 5 minutes, not that you actually spent only 5 minutes.
The elevation just looks weird.. They don't look like mountains to me. The best example of what I mean by 'static' is the stone mine in the top right corner. You made it by selecting 1 brush-size with the 'stone-mine' brush and went from right-to-left. No indents or thickenings whatsoever.
I have absolutely no idea what you're saying..
Read. It doesn't fit with the rest of the map. It looks weird to have things suddenly pop up in the middle of the water.


Besides, I agree with Shadaoe. The ice/snow looks weird too, because it's not really 'connected' to the dirt.

Furthermore, to be honest, I don't think you should be making maps when you're so easily agitated by some critiques. In my opinion, maps that are included in the Remake itself should be of high quality. Yours just isn't high quality (yet?).

It's not personal, it's just that I really really don't like your map as it is now. You can yell all you want, but as you can see above, most of them agree with me. Just think carefully about what you want and say. Not everyone can make maps. It's just a hard job that shouldn't be underestimated. I think you are.

I agree with T*AnTi-V!RuZz, Shadaoe and The Dark Lord's opinions. Making maps takes a long time and is not easy. It's a skill you need to practice and think about. Looking at original maps and trying to make yours more like those will help.
As it is at the moment this map is not good enough quality to be included. The map does not feel like an interesting place to be, it feels flat and uninteresting. It does not give me that desire to explore around the next corner, like high quality maps do.
It could be improved but you'd really have to spend a lot of time on it and improve your map making skills, listen to the criticism and suggestions being made here and learn from them.
