How much you can modify KaM ?

How much you can modify KaM ?

Well now im wondering how far you can modify KaM ?

As I see you can modify unit.dat , statistic or so .
But I wonder can you change place where you can create units , like train rebels or vacebond at barack ( rebel would use lance like lancer and so on )
that would make a litle bit funer playing against AI .

I gues it's imposible :)

if now how about changing AI wepon facilities ? like on some specific mision were AI can produce only militia let their wepon workshop's to produce only axe ? they wont produce lance or bows wich would be useles for them

BTW , I saw that there is two KaM remakes - KaM remaked and KaM-TKE
wich you think is more promising ?

What, you think one of them is not going to be finished? They both have a team of 2 people working on them
Or isn't that what you meant?

I don't know how to change the place where you can train a unit though, it could be hardcoded in the exe. That would make it rather hard to change.. Never impossible of course, but hard

I guess exchanging units from one unit-training house to another is possible if you tweak EXE, still that would be next to impossible to add new one and make "price" for it.

If you ask me - it's quite unique, not a clone :)

More promising ... that depends entirely on your point of view :wink: Everyone has his vision on new features and improvements. We are not competing, all projects are hobby ones.

Well I was looking at you two guys work and kroms has already a move about its KaM version wich looks working a bit :P , and harold is still making stuffs with code .

though kroms KaM remake has bug - units can go through each other :P

the question was wich one may come out sooner (Im very inmpatient player)


and you mised my question about work shops and so - is it posible to set wich wepon to produce only ?

But we released those test versions..
What do you mean making stuffs with code? as if Krom and Lewin aren't still coding?

And btw, I won't release a movie of TKE. Ever. Just get one of the test versions if you want to see it in action.

Blocking certain weapon production in shops - thats a good idea actually :) But to be honest I see no reasonable explanation in blocking e.g. bows.

AFAIK Harold has better code but not whole of it rigged with frontend. Remake is opposite - it has frontend and less code.

I asked Lewin and we both think Remake will have a village economy demo released sometime around June/July.

ok then harold , I would like to download it but i dont know from where ?
there is any beta to download from your website :?

Krom ,well ,don't see any reason ? , just caunt - if I would make single mision where anemy could make only militia , it would need atleast try wepon workshop's to work as my one . So If I would want to spead up militia producing I would need place around 5-6 workshop .... that's a lot of place and a lot of losed wood ....

and speaking about harold TKE I wanted to say that he is working with something that I we cant see progres on it ...

Ok well you temporarily need the .NET framework 3.5 - this should go back to 2.0 but it's 3.5 now..

What do I have to do when even after installation of .net 3.5 it doesn't start?
No errors or any messages, only mscorsvw.exe uses ~80% of CPU for few seconds.

Seems like the server is offline. Yesterday the link worked fine for me!

It's quite a nice idea, but only usful for milititas, huh?
E.G. if your village is able to produce axes and bows, why they cannot make lances?
Viewed in another light it could be useful if you only want your computer to have sword fighters and crossbowmen...
