Hello fellow knights.

I Noticed that when you install KAM from Steam, (i had to start the game before the remake could detect the game was installed)

You have the option to spin up the HD version of KAM, the campain direcly show higher graphics and the defealt speed of the campain is higher. (gamespeed)

so 1:
Is there a remake version in those HD graphics, and will it be available?

2:
Is there a way to increase gamespeed of the campains in the Remake?

Can you provide an example please?

Do you have measurements / comparison of that?

I will try to get an example up in 12 hours..
Tho I am doubting myself as I installed it on a different Laptop..

I do use the version of KAM available on the website, I don't know if it might make a difference.

Ok, I was wrong with the graphics... it seems like my old laptop just handles the HD version better as my new one...

for the performance, it seems like the original steam version is running 'smoother'

see drive link for AVI file.

on a side note, you can directly notice the AI is beter in the Remake. very nice job.

I think the HD version is based on improvements made for original KaM TSK Linux (and Mac?) edition, and it's possible it might be using OpenGL instead of whatever DirectX version was used by the originals - this might make it look a bit different on modern systems, perhaps. I also had a feeling about higher speed or some interpolation working there, but I used it a long time ago.

I believe the difference between AI in Remake and originals, is that originals were scripted and tested a lot (as usually games are, before being released), while nobody pays for Remake's testing of SP maps and usually it was a bit neglected (which from what I know, should change in upcoming version, as we've got a crew dealing with that).

I am planning to do more speedruns in the the Steam version (just did TPR 01 and TSK 01 so far), and I noticed that when using building fences as a wall of defense, the Steam version (unlike the original game), the unit of yours that the enemy AI is physically HITTING alternates (as it does in the remake). So it will be rather easy (well, apart from the fact that the leader in a group really is the leader/controls the direction all followers in the group move at any given moment!) to mimic my speedruns from the Remake in the steam version that I have done in (some) version of the Remake.
