KAMMOD

So guess i will also post it over here. I'm currently working on a MOD for KAM - TPR. Since some of the ideas in the KAM community varie alot about the patch, I decided to make a mod.
First I only would balance the units, but then I realized it would be way more fun to have a complete modification of the game. The mod will be based on SR3.
I will finish my work after my exams in 1-2 weeks

Suggestions/comments are welcome. But plz try to keep it positive since I try to make something unique for the KAM community.

I like the pics you placed on menu background. They certainly add to menu looks :)

I suggest you make a table for units and houses, so that they all fit on one screen with props you changed marked in some color. This way it will be easier to understand whats changed hence use new tactics ingame.

i prolly will post a detailed changelog when i release the mod. this was kinda made in a hurry :S

Changelog is hard to read when you need to make estimations on unit changes :wink:

i know, i could post the actual data i changed but some people wouldn't understand it. I prolly gonna keep this doc up to date + add a readme.txt with more detailed info.
But almost every unit has been adjusted.

Wow! That's very good Nick! I especially like the menu backgrounds. Where did you get them?

BTW: Maybe you could combine your efforts with Merchator/Phillymaster? You could add the red iron thing.

I already sended a PM to Phillymaster. But no respond so far...
I thought about the iron ore. I wanna change it but i thought it's better in blue...
"vary in colour from dark grey, bright yellow, deep purple, to rusty red."
Maybe i could change it to a mixture of the colours...
Is there anything else ingame that needs another colour that u can think of?

I have another suggestion: Why not make the attack cursor be the same as the TSK one? (dagger, rather than fist) I preferred the old one.

And I repeat my question: Where did you get the menu background images from?

ok so because i fully moved from windows to mac osx And cuz i'm too lazy to install XP on my macbook at this time i release my MOD the way it was. Alot of things are modified as u will notice (towers, menus, single missions, unit balances, building balances, worker rest times, the new lands campaign). Because of the unit balances the game will be harder so don't use the mod if u are new to KAM.
Also, if u love the fighting missions of TSK, try to play them again... U will prolly start losing :wink:

So like i said most things are done. 2 single missions are not rewritten and worker times are not yet changed. which misisons, u will notice it in the menu ingame. U can play them however, as they are still the original ones.

The download contains a full game with exception of the music files... U can just extract the file when u downloaded it and run the game. I chose to do it this way so u don't have to backup ur old game...
