How about a helper function in MapEd to allow to grab an object with a MouseDown and drag it around until MouseUp ? Sort of drag-n-drop.

you mean a new object or an already placed object on the map? because if it is the latter i find it a marvelous idea.

And on that topic, it would be nice to be able to select/delete an object with pixel selection, rather than tile selection (is that the fight way to word it?). Deleting trees is very annoying as I'm always trying to click on the trees and not the tiles themselves.

Well a while back I suggested being able to use brush sizes for deleting objects (delete in area). That would be just as good I think
