We're approaching the tournament draw, and seeing as the number of players wasn't certain yet, the ladder system isn't set in stone yet, and since I am helping out Siem on that, I'd like to ask what does the community expect regarding the ladder? I see a few options, and I wouldn't want to choose a too controversial one. Since we got 24 teams so far, here are the options I can think of so far:
-first round single elimination qualification phase (8 games of 16 teams) then proceed with double elimination - this is my least favourite but simplest to do and understand;
-See

*round 1: 12 games of 24 teams, then we pick 12 winners + 4 randomly picked losers (I will call them 'lucky losers'). Then, we go like this:
*round 2: Winners bracket of 16 teams goes for their 8 games, while 8 other 'losers' play their 4 games;
*round 3: Winners bracket of 8 teams goes for their 4 games, while 4 'losers' that won 1 game in loser bracket, play against half of the losing teams from winner bracket (round 3.1). The other 4 losing teams from winner bracket play in round 3.2, against the winners from round 3.1 games.
*now we have 4 teams at winners, and 4 teams at losers bracket, we simply proceed with single elimination normal cup mode.
-powah style - first round divides players between winner and loser brackets, then we follow with single elimination. Some may think this is unfair, seeing as after the first round it's "win or get eliminated", so it kinda pays off to lose the first game to fight theoretically 'worse' teams on the way to the finals. However, the big upside to this is it's way harder to get to the semifinals from the loser bracket - 4 wins needed in five games, as opposed to two. We're actually thinking this is the most fair one yet, and if nobody has anything against, we will use this system.
