Server host issues with latest version update

I bought a new computer back in August last year. I got port forwarding all taken care of & I have been able to host ever since. I updated KaM Remake when it came out last month. I got on last night to host a game, but was unable to host. I'm not sure what's wrong. I searched the forums for existing solutions & all I could find was this post:

I also have NOD32 Antivirus, just like the user asking for help there, but that did not stop me before. However, I still turned off the antivirus and turned off windows firewall. No change with that. I still could not host.

Maybe I used to wrong mirror to update? I still have the same router since last I hosted. I still have the same computer since last I hosted. I have not changed the port forward since I initially set it up. I haven't done anything with windows firewall, other than allow other trusted programs to be in the exception list.

Any thoughts/ideas where to go next? Please and thank you!!

What's the server IP? Are you using the default port # (56789)?

Btw. What does 'unable to host' mean? Errors? Or are you able to host, but people cannot see/join your server?

I think what you are asking for is this: 216.224.210.254, which is on the Servers list when I create internet server.

The answer to your 2nd question is yes. I need to head out for awhile, but I will leave it up so you can see me in the server list. the name is DnD and it shows I am from USA, which is correct.

To answer your 3rd question, sorry I did not clarify. I show up in the server list on the website: http://www.kamremake.com/servers/ with a yellow icon, but I cannot be found on the "in game" server list by anyone.

Well something is wrong with your config: I can't ping your server (okay, that's possible, not a total disaster) but more importantly I can't telnet port 56789 on your IP.

That means:

- Firewall, or
- Router

Ok. Thanks for the info. Seeing as how I already turned off my windows firewall & turned off my antivirus, & tried hosting, that's not it. I will attempt to readjust my router. Maybe that is needed after each update to the game? Anyway, I will do that this evening & report back. Thanks again for your help & testing so far!

Thanks again for your help in narrowing down the issues, T*AnTi-V!RuZz. It would seem that my Local IP address had changed somehow. I updated that in my router and now I can host again. YAY!! Have a great weekend!
