Discuss your favorite units from all knights and merchants games. The poll is for TSK only. Since each unit has pros and cons, this is a worthwhile discussion and may influence who you put in your army.

I like the axefighters. They sound anxious like they are really trying to please you, and worried that you might think them impolite. They have such a good voice, kind of cute. (I'm talking about the English version)
Bowmen are the most useful, but they really irritate me. (their voice puts me on edge) Crossbowmen are better I suppose, but I really prefer the wooden troops. (not iron troops)
I judge them on their voice and appearance, not how good they are. That's weird.....

My favourite unit is the crossbowman. It is very strong. But much more important: I feel safe when I have crossbowmen.

Well said XD. Also I have a tip for destroying buildings if you need to destroy and enemies' town quickly: make a shit load of crossbowmen and move them as close as possible to the building. then attack it, the building should be down in under 20 seconds.

I'll kick your crossbowmens asses with my Knights, which are my favorite. Suppose there was fog of war, you wouldn't stand a change againt my supriseattacks :P

Damn. If I was overwhelmed somehow by your knights, I would split my crossbowmen so while the ones in front are being killed the ones in back would kill you. Besides I always put a layer of bowmen in front of my crossbowmen.

Hah! Do you really think I would sent my crossbowmen to the middle of nowhere on their own, eh? I will just keep 'em in my town, and if your knights are coming, I will use some serves as a human shield! :D

Ha, when I'm in your village and slaying your citizens, which only takes a knight 2 strikes, you won't have any citizens left to build up your army. So the next time I come around you've barely had enough time to get your citizens up and running again, but my citizens kept creating weaponry!
You can probably see where this is going :P

Babarians rule :D
Combine them with bowmen/corssmen and they are deadly...

I think it's safe to say that the best kind of army is one that has only crossbowmen, knights, and barbarians when available.

Couldn't agree more, besides from the fact that barbarians could also be replaced by warriors, or even swordfighters if there's plenty of iron ore.

Well then. JBSnorro and Merchator, let us combine our forces and strike down Lewin's pathetic axefighters! :P

Hey! At least my axefighters sound cooler than your stupid troops!
That's the important thing....

P.S. I normally play like you do with bowmen and troops in front but axefighters are my favourite.
