Leavers in multi, little solution

Hello.
We are all very angry when some leaves the game. When they does, what happens? Their city stays where it is often blocking us with no chance of destroing that buildings. My proposition is as following: I suggest city self-destruction in let's say 10 minutes of absence. That would help a lot cos an ally could use the iron or simply just space.

There will be an option to go back to lobby, and the first person who joins will be able to download the save and continue the game as your ally. It should solve the leaver problem to some extent, because you can get a replacement in 5 mins.

I *still* think that we should be able to delete buildings of defeated/leavers. I don't see any harm in that. It's in AoE II and very useful ;)

Or maybe let the ally destroy all the buildings burn everything and kill citizens. Revenge!

It would be also interesting to see the replay of a deleted player. The city would disappear from one moment to the next.

What about set the leaver city as "enemy-for-all", after some time limit?
So if "ally" wants his place, he just destroy buildings and troops

In Age of Kings, you can delete allies buildings after he has left or been defeated. I've suggested adding this feature countless times, but I don't ever recall getting a real answer from the developers.

In multiplayer games in the newest KaM Version you haven´t really problems with leavers/trollers:


Kick player / Player leaves.
Return to lobby
Wait a few seconds for a player, who will download the save within one minute
Continue the game

= No Problems!

Not always the case. There is of course the scenario where players simply don't want to return to lobby. Or perhaps the other players won't cooperate with a vote. Still, more importantly, when players are defeated (important buildings destroyed) how are you going to handle the situation then? I think my recommendation still has a lot of merit.

For now drop AI on when the player lefts and he could join again without starving

If the defeated player lefts the left buildings should become neutral to all
