I just bought a new computer and now get to redo all of my port forwards & all! YAYA...I love my new computer, it's great!! MUCH better than my old Dinosaur! It's worth it!

I am having difficulty having my router port forward for my new computer. I go here: http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... Remake.htm

and follow all the instruction, except for the part where I am supposed to actually put in the port forward info. The picture it shows on the website does not look the same as what is actually on my router website.

Instead of what the picture shows at the above listed website, I have to create my own IPv4. which I type in 192.168.0.1 for local and external IP. I then type in 56789 for the start and end port for both local and external IP. Then I select BOTH in Protocol drop down. Lastly, I save it.

After i do all this, I STILL get the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark next to my multiplayer game on the following website: http://www.kamremake.com/servers/

here is a pic of what my port forward screen looks like after I have done what I explained: Image
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Let me know if you need more details. Thanks in advanced!

Welcome to the forums :)

The local IP address needs to be the IP address of your PC, which is probably not 192.168.0.1 (that is probably the IP address of your router). So first you need to find the IP address of your PC (instructions), and use that for the local IP. I'm not sure why it lets you set the external IP address there, most routers just assume you mean WAN IP address. Try leaving the external IP address blank, or using the same as the local IP and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.

Here is what I get:

Do I want the one that is 192.168.0.13? Or do I want the one that shows up on the KaM Server list, which is 50.160.29.31?

Looks like it was the 192.168.0.13. I did that before except I had it on both local AND external. That may have caused some issues. Thanks Lewin! - BTW _ I've been on these forums before, but It's been awhile. I couldn't remember which E-mail I used before, so I started a new profile.
Thanks for the help!! :-)

All is working now, tho!! :-) WHOO HOO!!!

Can't really remember, but you tried using tags within tags and '(' and ')', which is not going to work :P
