More Mutiplayer Modes

Crazy idea: Could we have multiplayer with map editor? I don't understand the game's architecture, so if it is impossible then sorry. Anyway, I feel like this would be a lot of fun working on a map with someone, and it might be nice for "teaching" others on making maps :D

Another idea: Co op replay viewer. Sado and I have been scheming to do co op shoutcasts, but we can't figure out a way to do it. Having co op replay viewer would be great for this :)

Both ideas are possible, however they would involve a fair bit of work considering they are not very useful features for most players (synchronised replay viewing wouldn't take that much work actually). We'd also have to find a way to fit that into the GUI (how to select replay viewer or map editor from the lobby?). How did you imagine the GUI would work? I don't think many people would use those features anyway, so I think there's more important stuff to work on.

Both things could be simulated with Skype/TeamViewer kind of apps, that allow to share desktops.

Not the editor. Two people can't work on a map at the same time with Remote Desktop :P

However...I'm not sure why sado and I didn't think of using it for replay sharing. I'll talk to him about that.

@Lewin, I do not know how it would fit into the GUI. I was actually thinking about it when I wrote the post. I suppose that I wondered if implementation was possible before I started throwing out ideas on UI.
