Like in other multiplayer games the possibility to join mid game, but only if another player has quit. And unfortunately a lot of people quit mid game. If you join a 7 player game you will just get the village the other player left behind. You get to chose wich location you want to play at.

This is probably very difficult to make? But it would be nice

This is already implemented in the beta version of the game

The host has an option to return to lobby. All you need to do is wait for someone new to join and have the download the save, which can be done in-game now because of the Remake's file-sharing.

This really is the best thing to improve multiplayer since reconnect was added
