Mission 8 Shattered Kingdom

The one with the barbarian attack.
I have twisted turned and tried all i could, but its game over whe they start to attack.
From what i can see is that there are to many and they attack all at once, when i brought this up to others on youtube for example it became clear that in orginale kam there are 2 or 3 waves, and a total of about 50 or so attackers. In KamRemake it pretty much comes in 1 wave and there are about 80-90 attackers.
I have replayed it many times and tried many different things but i never seem to beable to kill more than 60 of them, which is still 20-30 short and i get killed.
I am unsure if this is a bug, or that there is a way to beat them which i just can't figer out.
