Resolution problem

A week ago i bought kam on GOG.com. played till level 4. And now, as i want to play further, i got a really close up look on my building etc. Went to the homescreen to change the resolution from 800x600? to like 1024. but i wasn't able to change it due to the following text: Resolution In game Not available.

Can someone help me with this?

I heard something of opening the setup.cfg file and replace '1' or '2' with ''3'. But i am not able to open the file.

Thanks in Advance

I've never seen the issue, but you can open .cfg files by using Notepad.

before this bug i could choose between 2 resolutions. 800x600 and 1024x960. Not sure if the numbers are right but its about the idea.
And now in stead of seeing : Resulotions in Game : 800x600, i see the follwing: Not available.

I think due to this problem my view is soo close up.

Hope this time i managed to explain my problem better.

The GOG.com fix sadly has a side effect where the resolution selection can occasionally get messed up. If you open setup.cfg using notepad you should find a resolution option over there. The number that follows means the following:
0 = 800x600
1 = 1024x768
2 = 1280x960
3 = 1280x1024

Maybe you need admin rights to edit the file (Run Notepad "as administrator" and open file from it).
Maybe file is read-only (right click on it - properties - readonly flag)
