How do you call starting location in 1 word?

Till now we have called the starting locations on KaM maps - "Players". But now, when we think about adding spectators we need to clearly distinguish players and locations they play/spectate. Question is - how to call "Starting Location" in one word? A word that implies existence of town and/or army.

Single "spawn" sounds okay, but when referring to several "spawns" .... I don't know, it sounds weird ... Matt controls spawns 1 and 2 in a game ... And especially from code perspective: gSpawns
.FlagColor := $808080; Maybe it's okay
Thanks for ideas guys! Keep em coming

I was thinking about card games, there players cards are called "Hands". Maybe we can use some nouns that imply it being a players tool? Hand, Hammer.

Force is nice. Camp sounds okay as well. Maybe settlement?

Settlement does not fit because there are also pure fighting missions where there is no any settlements. Same with camp, it implies there's a camping place, where in fact we want to refer to players assets all the way.

After discussion with Lewin we agreed on "Hands". This term has a good background from card games, easy to spell, short to write, fits best

Force would be okish, tribe for example is for me sth like "barbarians/normal people" so that doesn´t make sense in kam for me. Spawn hears also okish for me, but what does that "hands" mean? Hands from the humans body? :p

As Krom already said, a "Hand" refers to what cards a player possesses.

What about 'faction' ? It has a nice ring to it, 'hand' sounds little weird to me.
