Removal of road

Just an idea which is on my mind quite a while now.

Once a laborer constructed a piece of road it can never be undone unless you set a building on that tile and than destruct the completed building. Well since that takes quite a lot resources + time it is less likely a player would choose for that method to simple remove a piece of road.

So i thought it would be nice if it was possible to destruct road on it's self ?

For this 'removal' of road the sprites of the normal construction of road could be used, only reversed. Let him hammer those stones lose and than dig the pieces away (i suggest no stone refund). Leaving a open tile ready to be used for farmland or vineyards, maybe even destruct roads from a ally who left the game ?

I doubt you'll be surprised when I tell you that this has been recommended 1,000+ times. To be honest, I'm not sure why it isn't in the game already. Maybe because the developers don't like it, or maybe because it really isn't necessary (can't think of why you would need this).

EDIT: I take that back. I often find that I have large amount of roadwork blocking farmland after I destroy my expired coalmines. Since coal mines are 2 tiles tall, I usually decide to make vineyards instead, but being able to make farms out of old coalfields would indeed be nice.

This is not implemented because we have like a thousand of such small features waiting in our todo list .. Still can't find time for them :(

This is not implemented because we have like a thousand of such small features waiting in our todo list .. Still can't find time for them :(
So maybe my grandchildren will see the final version of the game :lol:

Well in fact i am, couldn't find it in the official idea topic so i thought nobody suggested it yet, i posted a new topic because i wanted to know your opinion :P

I see, should i post it again in the official idea topic or can you or a forum mod add it to that list :$ ? At least i won't post another topic about it but someone els might..

Well i got an idea, since the uservoice topic is slowly descending into the depths of this forum how about make that topic a stricky so it shall not be forgotten? i know i proposed that in that topic aswell but back then it was still on testing grounds.
