When you do, please keep the original version posted for me and put the easier version up for others. I plan on trying to win it, despite the difficulty. I believe if I try a few more times, I can get much further than wave 35.

Also, for the new version, at least, would it be an advantage to the human player if the exact wave number is printed on the screen next to points? If not, why not just print it to the screen? Also, for SP, I don't see why 'You' is printed on the screen, because that's obvious (no offense intended...just mentioning it).

For example, I replaced
Actions.OverlayTextSet (-1, 'Points:|You : '+IntToStr(nPoints0));
with
Actions.OverlayTextSet (-1, 'Points: '+IntToStr(nPoints0)+'|Wave# '+IntToStr(nWave+1));

Also, wave 26 is missing, so you only have 59 waves!

Lastly, would it be okay if I also printed my username to the screen? (I swear I won't make any changes to any other part of the script).
Replace:
Actions.OverlayTextSet (-1, 'Points:|You : '+IntToStr(nPoints0));
with
Actions.OverlayTextSet (-1, 'cmowla|Points: '+IntToStr(nPoints0)+'|Wave# '+IntToStr(nWave+1));

In my attempt to win this, I am going to study the script...that's much more efficient than just plain trial and error...so it might be possible if you did indeed provide enough weapons and recruits (at least for my high kill to lose ratio).

Ben's Vortamic SP Initial Battle Won with 0 Losses

Although I don't see the point in this after I succeeded, I just won Ben's Vortamic (original, not the adjusted map in this thread) initial battle in r5503 without losing any units, just as I did with "To the Capital". "A Perfect Game" :)

The replay is attached to this post (which works all the way to the end).

I used saves, of course. In fact, this replay proves that with saves, one can literally survive the initial battle (without losing any men) if one was given just the following troops:

2 pikemen
6 knights
2 crossbowmen
7 bowmen

I do note, however, that one can win this initial battle (without saves) losing no more than 10 units, because I did just that before I decided to lose 0 men.

Lastly, I had to halt the bowmen party of 4 for EVERY enemy troop from the north. My single crossbowman to the south (by the storehouse) had to be halted on occasion, when he decided to turn 45 degrees and stop firing :rolleyes: . Weird, but that was the main strategy (besides putting building fences as I usually do). It appeared that the act of halting the bowmen group was equivalent to 50 crossbowmen arrows (it was instant death for the enemy on several occasions, even though the bowmen didn't get a chance to fire after being halted). This game (programming) is weird.

Welcome to the forums, kovarnyi. :)

Can you rephrase your question (I can't understand what you asking)? Also, which replay? My 0 loss one (above) or my replay in the first post?

Re: Ben's Vortamic SP on Steroids Won in r5503 (Initial Batt

Earlier today, KaMRemakefan requested that I win all of Vortamic (the regular version, not the modified version I posted in this thread) in r5503 with 0 losses.

I used the initial battle .sav that I posted earlier and finished it in under 2 hours and 19 minutes of total game time with my initial army and had 0 losses. :)
