Campaign maps - nodes and flags

On campaign maps, you have 2 types of flags: red flags and flags with skulls. Obviously, the latter represents enemy territory. But the usage of the first one is more confusing.
I have noticed that in the Remake, red flags are used for captured territory, but also for the current mission (= territory that still has to be captured). I've compared it to TPR, and indeed, TSK campaign flags worked like that. But in the TPR campaign, the red nodes would end at a flag with a skull. In my opinion, that makes more sense since this terrain isn't yours (yet) and so shouldn't be displayed with a red flag.
Also, it would be nice if we could give these flags and nodes different colours, depending on the colour of the human player or enemies (so flags with skulls where the background could be a different colour) in the missions. :)

This seems to be rather minor issue. Player is always red in classic campaigns and enemies have all kind of colors

Of course it is a minor issue, but that does not stop me from addressing it. :P Minor issues can be annoying too.

I'd think there needs to be a third kind of a flag, indicating that the mission is being next fight between player and enemy (2 flags or crossed swords or something like that). Having either red or skull flag is confusing as to wherever the mission is next or not (in case there is no place for red dots around).
