KaM on Android (via RDP)

Was playing with new Galaxy S III mini and tried out to launch KaM on it (through RDP). Results are more than visialy pleasing (controls are not):
How it works: you need to allow RDP access on your PC and an RDP client for Android (in this case). Then you can login to your PC from Android tablet/smartphone and run KaM. Although in software OpenGL mode this means very low FPS (Galaxy S III mini - 3-4fps).

Is there no better way to do this? Does the phone actually render the game? I guess something like, sending only the rendered frames to the phone, might work better (local network would be necessary tho) but I don't know the software to do it. And of course, a tablet would be much better for this

(or, maaybe with scaling it'd be at least playable on the phone)

Well S3 mini has a really small resoltuion and pic.
Some tablets are really huge, so only from the view of buttons and gameplay it would be possible to play it one there. I mean scrolling with your S3 (mini) is really terrible with a huge city or when your city is under attack

That looks pretty cool. Didn't you also think about making the menus float for smartphones?

This is just a fun experiment and the main issue is Controls. It is next to impossible to control the game on a smartphone. Anyone who wants to test it can rig RDP and try it out for himself )

so ths is the kam remake that was intended for pc and it works on smartphones? that is pretty awesome i must say, especially since the engine is so flexible that it runs (offcrouse not smoothly) on smartphones without any critical adjustments.

If you would really want to make a smartphone-friendly version of the UI, it wouldn't be that bad. Make tabs for minimap and menu or something like that, allow to move the map by swiping the finger, make a close button for menus, so you don't need 2 "mouse" buttons for army movement (you'd just select army and touch the map to move them there). But I understand you don't want to put effort in this, I'm just pointing out that the way I see it controls are barely an issue.
Dicso, it's not exactly running on that phone. More like: running on PC, being streamed to the phone. But you can use the "mouse" with phone's touchscreen.

I tried it with team viewer, it's unplayable but fun.

Well it would be only possible to play some SP maps maybe, to prebuild your first 10 buildings in the train, before you arrive at home

Maybe with some short (5-30min playtime) and clever heavily scripted SP maps that could be fun

Well when Tower D. of TDl should work good, it could be one of these "simple" games for a smaller smartphone/tablet.
