Play Online?

Hey guys i was poking through my loft the other day and found my old copy of KaM... I was just wondering does anyone play this game online still and how is it possible? do i need to download something?

Of course we play online. That's all we do, really (For the most part, anyway. The active members here seem to be only multiplayer players). We don't use KaM, though, we use the Remake, which is much, much better. Download it from here. Install the Remake like you would any other game, and it should be pretty easy to figure out from there. I'll let you know that there are many changes to the Remake, so you'll have a hard time adjusting at first. Once you do; however, you'll never want to go back to KaM, trust me

anyway hearing that there is an online community for this game has just made my day. I played the hell out of it when i was like 14 but never had the internet back then

I checked out that page you linked. Will I have to buy the peasents rebellion in order to play? I only have the original.. and now it seems im having problems installing KaM, it says it cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64 bit version of windows. is there any way around this?

1) It seems you have no account. You're posting using a guest accounts, but you can register a real account.

2) There's no real way around that, since the Remake checks for KaM TPR in the registry. If you'd be able to install KaM TPR on another computer, just copying the files wouldn't work. But anyway, KaM TPR is only $3,99 on GOG.com, so it can't get any cheaper than that.

I'm hoping it will work since my Original copy wont seem to install.

Yes, it's downloadable and I'm 100% it works, since I used it myself

Yeah. I'd say $4,- is a really cheap price to pay, considering all the extra features you get for it. Not only does it have multiplayer, it also has lots of added maps and a map editor.

Note that MapEd in r4179 (latest public release of KaM Remake) is largely unusable. You would still need to use other tools for map creation. New version of Remake we are planning to release soon will have functioning MapEd.
