Krom's Map Editor

is Krom's Map Editor compatible with the KaM remake missions? I want to use it instead of the new map editor, frankly I don't quite understand the built in one

KaM Remakes built in map editor is largely unfinished in r4179, but we are seriously improving it for the next release where it will become better than both my KaMEd and Lewins MissionEd combined )

For now - yes, KaMEd + MissionEd by Lewin are the best out there. Remake uses few additional script commands (listed here http://code.google.com/p/castlesand/wiki/ScriptCommands) but terrain editing is 100% compatible.
