I'd like to make a poll, what is the brightness in your KaM Remake settings you play with? Or maybe you never touched?

I voted "1", cos thats a just a little brighter than 0

1, I don't know why (is it default or is it set by me?), but it's ok.

bright, 10

3-5, depending on the day or the monitor I am using (I don't have internet so I jump around playing KaM on my friends, family's or school's computers )

0, i really dislike the bright colours. everything above 4 hurts my eyes.

I tried playing with 20 once... It is ridiculously over-brighted.
I think current value 12 should be 20 in a new scale.

It would be better moving scale to -8 / 12

IN this new scale value 10 is default (which is the value 2 from current brightness).
This will match up with Music/Sound values 10 as default.

New scale proposition looks like this (default on bold):
0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9|10|11|12|13|14|15|16|17|18|19|20

I think the current 0 is dark enough, I don't see why we need to add an option to make the game darker. Some people have dark screens so even though higher values look ridiculously over bright on a normal screen for some people that might not look so bad.

Thats the purpose of this poll - seeing who uses what and ensuring we have enough margins to keep everyone happy

I was thinking about clipping anything beyond 10, but now it seems 15 is a candidate. As Lewin said - darkening was not considered before, and probably will not be.
