Hi everyone!

I'm here to show you something, what (I think) you could easily find out while playing.

As you can see, weaponries produce weapons much faster than armories produce armors.
I calculated it, wooden weapons are being produced 14,3% faster than leather armors/wooden shields, and iron weapons are being produced 23,7% faster than iron armaments/iron shields. Do you think it is okay, or do you think they should be equaled?

Cheers,
Bence

It explains why I always end up with more crossbows than armour. :) I don't mind whether it should be made equal or not, I just close one of my weapon smithies for a while and everything is okay.

I think it's kinda obvious that armor takes more time than a weapon..

We're using production timings very similar KaM TPR (I watched the animations and replicated them so there could be minor differences), but I would be interested to see the result of this test if it was run in TPR. We're using the "idle between work" values directly from KaM.

It's not as simple as just changing the production time, since the production time is decided by the animations that are used. If we make the animation repeat one time less than that makes a big difference to the timing. Changing the idle between work is the easiest way to adjust it.

I'm not sure whether this is a problem or not, I'm interested to hear people's opinions. It's not a massive difference in timings.

Yes. It's fine as it is now.

Not so sure about that by the way, I can imagine all parts of a crossbow have to be very precise so it all fits and it's all balanced, while iron armour could be just a rough plate with some holes in it. :P

I think having them in a different way adds strategy.
Now it's important to place armor smithy closer to iron than weapon smithy, so the production will keep balanced.
It's the same with the whole town, you need to place buildings as good as possible to have the most efficënt economy,
probably the only reason that more doesn't always mean more.
