Yeah, could be something like Orcs and Humans in Warcraft II. Pretty close yet different.
Well...orcs...i think barbarians would be fine as well really.

I meant that orcs and humans in Warcraft II were very similar. Similar tech trees, similar set of units, similar attack/defence and etc, yet different in graphics and minor details.

I think it would be nice. here some ideas...
barbarian would not have a castle or bread or a school because there are not enought civilized.
BUT they would have a brasserie with beer , a training camp,.... We could imagine another way for them to have new recruits, and army.
They would not be able to have kniths or scout but they would be able to train in there training camp the town hall's units (in a KaM compatible way, not with gold of course).

We could imagine that a part of serfs could be recruited as rebel in case of attack and then come back as serfs..

These are only some ideas :-)

I think that this is a little unnecessary. I think that it totally breaches the goals of trying to stay as close to the original game as possible.
I used to spam this forum so much...

New nation requires immense amount of artwork - we don't have any professional graphics artists in our team/community who could work on it sadly :(

I can do some artwork but sadly not as professional so I won't try and do so :P Also I don't have a lot of time.
