Here's the new defaults I've chosen:

Please let me know what you think, do you normally use something like that? Of course it depends on what tactics you're using, we just want something fairly generic that will work fine for newbies who don't know the game well enough to adjust the ratios themselves.

I've also made it so you can adjust buildings at the start if they will become unlocked later in the game. You can't adjust buildings that are blocked. For example in TSK 2 you can't adjust iron/coal/stables because that's blocked, but you can adjust wood/mill/swinefarm because you can build them once you've unlocked them. I think that's a better solution because I do like setting them all up at the start :)

Saving user preferences has been added to the proposals list and might be implemented later, but it's a pretty minor feature IMO.

I would sugest 5 coal for goldsmelters, I usualy always set them up to 5. What do you think?

Everything looks fine to me. I'd leave Coal for gold smeltery at 3, otherwise it would produce too much gold in campaigns.

I think it's fine. There will surely be people who disagree, but everyone has his own settings and you will never be able to find something that everyone likes. I for one would set timber at 1 or 2 for the armory workshop and maybe even at 5 for the weapons workshop.

I disagree.

These changes are being made for new/inexperienced players who don't have any idea what to set them to and just leave them. I'm sure there's lot of people like that even if you don't know them, for example people who mostly play singleplayer. We want a default setting that works ok without changing it. IMO these changes are better.

Obviously these changes are not designed for experienced players who will always set their own according to their strategy/preference. We're not only aiming this game at experienced players remember.

It makes little difference then if we change it anymore from what it is on the pictures you provided.
Seems fine.
depending on what the person is going to go towards , otherwise this looks fine for default, since a some people tend to have preference on leather/iron , but in this case we can't tell and so it should be more or less balanced(as is on the picture).

So if would change it in the code for ourselfs, will we still be able to join other lobby's?

Look what I wrote at the bottom of my original post:

Now it look fine, but I would change:

Armory workshop: 2
Stables: 4

Because: if someone will make horses, they want it pretty much and so 4 is ok to me.
To the Armory workshop, i have tested a lot of combinations, and I think 2 is the best, because if you click 3 or more, there to less wood in the weapons workshop.
And normally you have 2+ of the armory workshop, so sometimes you have about 50 shields, but only 30 axes!?
What do you think?


EDIT: But one other thing. Could you maybe enable this settings in tactic missions? Because in some missions with buildings, like Mercancery Invasion.
