no cd crack?

any way to get one of these? i didnt need cd before i updated to the new patch. which i finally found. now i always need cd. it used to be you needed a cd to run single player, but not to run multi player "one cd to every 3 comps on lan. or something like that. then recently i realised i didnt need cd for any of it. but i update and now i do.

i got my knights cd from e-bay store and its called "hot games blazing value for a buck"the company copyright or w/e is 2004 darkmatter software. its knights "first one, not tpr" and on same cd is knights hannibal which i dont like.

Ahh I bought the same one, I'm currently looking for a way to get past that as the hotapps.exe to start the game is screwy as it is but if you find one post it here

link a shotcut directly to the KAM files in the c:\games\KAM directory
if u used the default. and DONT update till we find out WTF i did wrong.
ah sorry sorry linking wont work. i believe they changed the .exe file that launches KAMTSK so it loads their app first. and this is why we cant use the update. it doesnt reconize the disk or something because they Fed with the files.

does anyone with the regular 1.32? update require a cd to use? as of right now i require nothing because i un updated myself by uninstalling then reinstalling KAM

I cant tell you where to get it as its against the forum rules but its available to download it off bit torrent. however its also illegal.

well i own the game, and i dunno.

i made the shortcut from the file in its directory, my shortcut is on my desktop. this does bypass the hotgames screen. the game will work without its cd when it is just simply an install from the hotgames cd.

im sorry if this is a duplicate post or info i have noted before, i dont remember what i said, felt stupid and decided to test myself and double check.

the bit torrent thing would be the newest version of the game including the most recent update? {edit} bit torrent is one of those napster type things? no. i dun like them, everything is virused or misslabled and then really porn or something. nope nope.

okay option 2 copy all the KAM CD to the hard drive if you can get hold of one then run regedit, under HK_LOCAL_MACHINE \software\Joymania entertainment\ KnightsandmerchantsTPR click on this then on the right change the CDPath to the destination you copied the cd to i.e c:\KAM; this way you dont need a crack if you already have the game, you wont need to have the cd anymore after this.

EDIT: apparently with a search i have no joymania in my registry, also i looked where u said to and its not in the list so i did the search, actually did several searches and came up with nothing.

it should be there how did you search, have you got the game installed, you have to have a registry entry for KAM or the game woldnt work it will be there somehere also look under topware, interactive magic, Zuxexx or something similar.

hold the horses, i have some knowledge abot the registry and computers "i used to be an overclocker" and i can assemble the hardware stuff all into an actual computer. its just the preogramming, some shortcuts and "tricks" that i dont know yet.

i know there has to be a file and i was playing it last night without a cd "which it allows me to do on a raw install before updating"
i am not using a reg KaMTSK disk. my disk came off an e-bay store and is called "hot apps" or "hot games" it is from a store not a seller, and it is KaMTSK and KAM hannibal on one disk.

i will look up these other terms, or try updating again and then modding the reg.

ok, what bugs does the 1.32 patch create in single player? i play it but not very intensly since i normally get trampled by the AI.

im not doing anything illegal. i own the game. but its fine, i just am not allowed to update mine. stupid discount software crap ruined a good game they had to mess with it to get their hotapps.exe crap to run with its ads and stuff.
