So it's over 10 years old except for the Linux version which almost no one uses. That's pretty old for software.

10,5 years is quite a long time. Not many 10 year old games are sold anymore. So they won't lose money if they give us the source.

http://www.ebgames.com/browse/search.aspx?N=0&Ntk=TitleKeyword&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntt=knights%20and%20merchants

it can be bought/downloaded so they should still be making a profit. they could at least reply to the mail though, they can't be THAT busy. they could tell us of any future plans or anything...

mail them again. mail their friends, mail partnering companies. mail everyone. hell, mail me.

Just because it's theoretically possible that they make money on it doesn't mean they actually are. How many people buy 10 year old games? Won't be many. They're probably getting a million times as much money out of their newer games like Two Worlds.

well, i wasn't wanting an argument. only saying that some companies *cough* atari *cough* whoever bought them or whatever happened.

still havent released the source for total annihilation which they positivly dropped all work on and moved onto other games with no possibility of a sequeal or ever using the TA engine again.

they sell it online and it is supposedly a faulty version. as in there is some error with it, never bought it online so not positive.

thing tat sucks is the greed and selfishness. a lot of people and companies will bring their source to their graves, so many programs that were made free such as emulators have had the source locked away with the creator simply disappearing instead of putting it up on megaupload or something at least. could've corrected the high def incompatability with the emulators on the original xbox. creator left and kept the source and no one has ever fixed it.

thats all... hopefully these people are nicer like a few companies have been in the past.

Ok, I'll send another email saying how "disappointed" I am that Mr. Hassinger hasn't replied to me.
See what happens, it can't make it worse.

You can add "Request Read Receipt" option to your e-mail, maybe it helps in a way.

True, address and displayed senders name are important in business :)

AFAIK "Read Receipt" is a common option for almost all e-mail clients.

no, couldnt purchase it. maybe another petition, get more people, more "harassment" and demonstrate that they will be having to say no to us so long as we live for we will not give up. and thousands of euro's it is also thousands of USD for the americans here.

I meant including the source with a game purchase with a license that doesn't allow you to give it to people that have not purchased it or something.
