How about no line at all? I think in most of games there is just a flag, not to mention that while in SF game it's cool - I find it terribly ugly and unfitting in KaM.
Just leave the flag which is really nice

@Lewin: First one looks good to me.
@Menszu: I think, that a line is very useful to easily find the spawn point once you placed it (especially when it's far away). You don't have to look around the map and search it, you just follow the line.

Yeah I was worried that the flag would be hard to find, that's why I added the line. The flag is like a beacon, it can be partially hidden behind trees and units. On the other hand, if you're not sure where it is you can just place it somewhere else anyway, so I guess being able to find it isn't really necessary. I agree that the line doesn't fit very well with KaM's art style.
What do other people think, do we need the line or not?

I would come out without line also, same reason like Menszu just mentioned. In other games it´s the same(in many other games at least

). You haven´t to find your own flag and drop it then somewhere else. I mean normaly you know where you want to place your army. After you wanna change the position, you just rightclick anywhere else on the map, so there is no need to "know where it is now".
The reason why I asked was just, because it looks so "unnatural" with a simple line from paint in KaM

,
but when other player needs the line/wants the line, I would prefer also the 1.)

None.
Something like that:
(jpg)
We decide which way to stand the warriors and then there is a flag.
Without the red line. Why? In any game there is no such thing. And it is good

I can't run translation manager in nightly, every time it closes after 5-8 seconds

Are you running TranslationManager_6048_Nightly.exe or just TranslationManager.exe? The old one won't work with the new unicode changes.

That's odd. Does it give any error message? Does it only crash if you open a certain file? (try opening the main game file, data\text\text.%s.libx) It works for me so it must be something to do with your setup. Maybe one of your .LIBX files is formatted incorrectly? Try moving away any files you modified recently.

That sounds like a problem with your computer, possibly a driver?
