I just received a bug report from someone I gave the patched (SR3 beta 7) game to. They said that when you start mission 3 TPR, you loose immediately. (they said the mission with the siege equipment, you loose a few seconds after starting)

I haven't tested this myself, but I thought you might like to know.

Yeah someone on the German forum noticed this shortly after release (IIRC the day after) and I fixed it but forgot to report it over here. The current patch installer includes the fix, so unless you downloaded the patch very shortly after release you shouldn't have the faulty mission file anymore. However, you can get the fixed mission file separately from here.

It should work as that website uses the version as TryMedia. Have you tried reinstalling the game (but naturally backing up your saved games first)?

You need to install another fix to make the game itself work, but I'm curious as to how the installer fails to detect the presence of the game...

Hi,

Is it possible to add more resolutions to the Service Release?
Currently, I'm using a 19" screen with a 1440 x 900 resolution, and I'm playing on 1024 x 768. My eyes are beginning to hurt :P

Is this in some way possible?

Not possible, sadly :(

Some users reported that their version of the game reads the crossbowmen voices from "Crossbow" directory, not the default called "Crossbowman". Thus, after installation of SR3 they stop talking. Could you add some installer script that will check if there's a directory with that name and if it detects that, it will rename it?

(thanks for robi29 for reporting the bug)

Like I said previously, the beta 7 shouldn't be installed on top of any previous betas as problems such as the one you described will occur.
