I don't think you need to be able to set a direction for the barracks rally point since if you train multiple groups (e.g. bowmen and swordfighters) they are going to stand at the same place anyway, so it doesn't provide a way to make your soldiers form sensibly. Lets keep it simple.
Did I miss something? Perhaps someone else mentioned this, but my idea was merely to add some sort of "marker" on the minimap so I can see where my rally point currently is :?
I was replying to Jeronimo. In regards to your idea, it sounds good, but we need an icon.

Still would be more organized if troops always stare at 1 default direction -> my suggestion is towards South, because makes sense when coming out from barracks door.

Because it's possible to train a squad in 1 point, then select new rally point and train another squad.
Troops succesfully accomodate in separate places, but with random orientations. This was main cause that made me post the suggestion.

Elevation level: A Mapmaker can only manipulate 2 vectors (X/Y) when going to create a new empty map.
This makes for the width and lenght in tiles... but we know that KaM has "invisible" 3rd vector -> vector Z (depth).

Mine is not a petition from another world. A Mapmaker should have the choice of starting with the elevation that best suits his map idea.
It's a good idea, to add another useful feature to the pre-map editor. Someone somewhere will be thankful for this.

I'm not requesting to mark "numeric Z vector" when already editing your map (you can see the undulating segments, and that's enough).

Not a reason for me. Buildings in kam are only made from one perspective. So when you make barracks and set a rally point to the north(because the map is built like that), it doesn´t make sense that they show to the south anymore :mrgreen:

Can we add a spectator chat? I'm playing a 10 (2 players 8 spectators) player game and it's really annoying that you cannot send chat to your fellow spectators :)

Can we please be able to delete maps and saves/replays from within the game, itself? I shouldn't have to elaborate, because the reasons are pretty obvious ;)

Another idea:

When a game returns to lobby, spectators should automatically have their "ready status" enabled. Why? Because it is very common for spectators to step away from their computer. When the game returns to lobby, these spectators need to be kicked because they are not available to enable it, and why would a spectator need to be ready right away anyway? It's not like they are doing anything? ;)

I think that spectators should always be 'ready', not just when rehosting but also when you start the game (for the reasons stated above).

Thought about the same idea at first. However I have to disagree :-) Just imagine, like common situation in the tournament: 2vs2 Game + one Steamer as spectator,like sado :D
All are ready, and the host click "start" in exact this second, one player has joined the channel and is in game, because he was auto-ready. However they players don´t want to have more than this one official spectator in their lobby, so they have to rehost :mrgreen:

So just close the slots? I don't see it as a problem.

EDIT: Sorry, I see that you were referring to what Nissarin said, which was a bit different than what I said :)

Well I still don't think it would be terrible, but for sure in a rehost they should be auto-ready.

I don't remember if you get auto assigned to spectator when lobby is full but normally you have to choose the spectator "team", so you won't be able to start the game which in turn means this is a not a problem and of course you can always set password/close the empty slots.

Easy trick: close all slots, allow specs. The next play that will join will get into the spec box ;-)

This is on my todo list but I'm not really sure how to implement it in the interface. For example if we add a delete button to the replays screen then players might not realise that replays and saves are the same thing (in most games replays/saves are different files). So someone might delete all their replays without realising they just deleted all of their saved games. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be interested (or sketches of the interfaces).

I added this to the todo list. I don't think that new joining spectators should be set to ready be default, since e.g. sado might not be ready with his stream yet. But for rehosting it makes sense. Closing all slots before starting the game is inconvenient and most people probably won't do it on the off change that someone might join just before you click start.
