KaM Editor 0.5 released.
Major new feature - city planner which allows to import script files and place houses/roads on map. So far script exports only houses and roads info in a text format suitable for KaM script editors. This is more of a test version though - suggestions are welcome.

P.S. To tell you the truth I didn't had much time to polish and test this release, I'm very busy with another KaM project which is getting 95% of my attention and very secret yet.

Looks interesting.
Its good to hear 2 mission editors is under development.
( lewins and sooner yours )
But some maps can't be loaded.
I get this with some:
"Range check error."
Could you fix that?

Could you please name few maps generating the error? I checked a dozen of maps and everything opened ok.
P.S. One bug found - if there's a road right next to map edge Editor will crash

I will issue a fix soon.

Well, i have this proplem with every map i tried out (were around 10)

I checked the rest, it's okay and looks cool, i have to mention your streets, they look great!
And your secret project sounds also interesting

Tell us the secret

To solve the problem I need to know what maps did you tried to open (if you speak about TSK/TPR maps) or send me those maps to e-mail. I can't fix a thing I don't know/have
As for secret project - it goes rather nicely

I can't say anything specific about it - otherwise it won't be secret anymore

With certain luck I guess it will take couple of weeks before announcing.

I just opened self-made maps

No TPR/TSK maps. I tried out some of my maps, some maps of other people...

Hi,
Nice work Krom!! No problems here, I've tried opening TPR maps and PRO files. I haven't tried a self made map file (haven't got around to converting all of my pros in my campaign yet) so maybe map files made with 0.4b won't open or something?
@Everyone: I know Krom's secret.

I will probably be involved in it at some point. Keep guessing, it is truly great news. Don't try asking me to tell you, it is Krom's secret and he will tell you when he's ready.
I like the roads being coloured, very clever! I might do something like this in my editor so you can tell the teams apart.
@Krom: May I suggest that you work on the secret not your editor, I am making mine and it seams a waste to both be writing the same code. Mine is taking considerable longer because I am trying to let you edit everything and not just villages. This adds heaps of complications like multiple items on squares and stuff. My one will be better too because it will write to a full DAT file and not need to be copied into another editor. Be patient everyone! Another month or so...
Lewin.

@Lewin: As I said I'm 95% focused on the new project, thing is I did most of CityPlanner before starting new project, so I really had to add few touches and release it

Now when I see Editors code - it looks more like garbage

.
Editor will be paused now, for it has enough functionality (let's call it WYSISYG Editor behind the scenes

). No major updates planned (unless there are really nice features suggested).
